It doesn’t matter, if it would work or not at this moment. The most important: You dare to dream for a better world and you are willing to share them with the public.
TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) is a global community owned by a nonprofit nonpartisan foundation, under the slogan „Ideas Worth Spreading“. It is devoted to spreading great ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less), in order to help people seek a deeper understanding of the world and to create a better future.
TED began in 1984 as a conference, where Technology, Entertainment and Design (that’s why TED got its name) converged. Today it covers almost all topics – from science to business to global issues – in more than 100 languages. At the meanwhile, independently run TEDx events contribute to share ideas in communities around the world. They provide “dreamers” of the whole world with a wide open platform, where their courageous ideas and concepts can be presented and improved during discussions.
Bill Gates, for example, is one of the regular speakers among various professionals at the TED conference. His new ideas aren’t just limited in computer science as many people thought; instead, he talked about the global energy future, the education system in the USA and plenty of other topics in the past years. Of course, such big topics are worth being discussed, but personal developments seem as important as global problems for the idea conference. Doctors, athletes, career coaches and many more “dreamers” from all branches are also welcome to give a speech at the conference.

“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams”, said Eleanor Roosevelt, former First Lady of the USA. A dream is the beginning of success. On the basis of these great ideas, which may sound totally crazy at first, people can work hard with sweat and determination to reach their dreams. That’s exactly why the world can develop more and more better.
