Microsoft’s annual developer conference – Build 2016 takes place from March the 30th, through till April the 1st in San Francisco, USA. Just as in the past, Microsoft continues to focus on enabling developers do amazing transformational work for businesses and industries in support of Windows, Windows Phone, Microsoft Azure and other Microsoft technologies.
First held in 2011 in California, the Build conference which heavily focused on Windows 8, Windows Server 2012 and Visual Studio 2012, served as a successor to Microsoft’s previous developer events. As time goes by, it is becoming increasingly important, not only for professionals, but also for high-tech fans. Microsoft had sold-out its tickets for Build 2015 in around 20 minutes last year. This year, the tickets sold-out in just 1 minute! Record time!
As always, Build will be filled with intense technical sessions as well as opportunities to meet and learn from others in the industry. Still interested in knowing what to expect at Build 2016?
According to the Verge, Microsoft’s Build 2016 keynote will focus on cloud talk. Developers are keen on hearing how tools and cloud services are being improved, and it’s likely that Microsoft will spend a large amount of time discussing the merits of its Azure platform.
Since its launch last July, Windows 10 has steadily undergone improvement and fixing. Microsoft nonetheless, obviously has more plans for this platform in the future. It was also a tough year for Windows Phones. A good opportunity presents itself now, for the company to explain its plans for the rest of the year.
One more item on the agenda will delight the whole gaming industry. After teasing users with Windows 10 apps on XBOX for “years”, Microsoft is finally ready to talk about new apps and a store for Xbox, at Build this week. In addition, HoloLens development kits are shipping out to developers at Build 2016.
